If you work hard you deserve some rest. As for me the best  entertainment and relaxation will be the Annual Day - I am waiting to see all the traditional dances and colorful costumes. Though for children and stuff it is hectic time - they should be prepared and the show should be on the highest level! Still I believe that they are enjoying the process!

Today we had the pleasure to give our students the possibility to learn with the new DELL laptops that were provided through the big efforts of our volunteers Gillian Cooper (USA) and Greta Riva (Italy).
These two girls did, each one, their own fundraising project to reach money for four and three computers. So, with these amazing help, our school now has seven BRAND NEW DELL systems.

All school is very grateful to these two girls!

HappY Independence day!

8/17/2014

On the 15th of August in India it`s the Independence day and every years the students of our school celebrate this important day for our mother-country and for all of us.
During the previous weeks they prepare dances and speeches that they will perform on this day.
And so they did!

The school was an explosion of colors and smiles: everybody was deeply involved into the ceremony: parents, staff, and children were all together under our national flag sharing the feeling of Indian proud.

The celebration was even bigger than usual because on the same day we had the privilege to inaugurate the new Gillian Block! Another little step forward for our school.

But pictures sometimes speak better than words so, here there are the photos of this amazing day!

In this days, our students had the big possibility to join the relaxing yoga classes of the well known yoga master Asaithambi. We think that for our students it was a great opportunity to approach to this discipline, witch is useful for both, mind and body.
At the end, everybody was really satisfied!

AMAZING VILLAGE TRIP!

8/6/2014

Today our volunteers Teresa and Greta experienced, once again, the beauty of our Indian countryside with the unusual company of our students.

One or two times a week in fact, our volunteers are taken to visit the villages where our children live. These little trips always turn out to be unexpected adventures. In particular today Teresa and Greta went to Ananthamamgalan village: they were warmly invited by the student`s families to visit their homes and to feel involved into their everyday lives.

After visiting the houses they were taken to see the colorful and unique Shiva`s Temple near by the village. From the top of the hill where this temple is situated they were able to enjoy the amazing landscape at sunset.

But what made this experience really special was the kindness, the happiness and the enthusiasm of the children: watching them dancing and singing after sharing with new people their world is priceless!

"For me the best moment was when we went downstairs in
the Shiva's Temple and stayed with the children in silence,
meditating for 2 mints in a really peaceful room."

"to see these things through children eyes and being part, just for   few hours, of their world is special!"
